摘 要
Industrial robots serve as intelligent and flexible devices in manufacturing. They are essential pieces for productivity of the manufacturing system. This forms the first level of an intelligent physical system, critical for manufacturing productivity. It is an essential link of Industry 4.0 or IMS, intelligent manufacturing system. In the midst of robotics growth, it is still a challenge to explore new applications. From the automotive industry to the 3C industry, typical applications require some amount of system integration efforts. This presents opportunities for emerging technologies in the associated robotic components and application tools for intelligent manufacturing. This presentation takes an earthly view of robotics in manufacturing along the path of technology innovations.
演講人簡歷
Dr. Chia-Peng Day (戴家鵬) is a Sr. VP/General Manager of the Foxconn Technology Group. He had received BS from RPI, MS from Cornell and PhD from MIT. Dr. Day had worked at General Motors Manufacturing Development on painting and spot-welding robots, as a founding member and director of advanced robot systems at GM-Fanuc Robotics, and worked on automation systems at Rockwell Automation before joining Foxconn. Dr. Day was a 2016 recipient of the Joseph F. Engelberger robotics award.
